Pilgrims making their way south on the Huddersfield to London route arrived in Sheffield on the evening of 4 June 1926. They had travelled down from Rotherham that morning after an open-air meeting. Other meetings had also taken place en route. The pilgrims were met at the Wicker by the Sheffield contingent and then they all marched together in a procession to the Friends Meeting House where tea was provided. A public meeting later that evening passed the model resolution for the Pilgrimage.
