The Peacemakers’ Pilgrimage arrived in Frome on Tuesday 1 June 1926, where an open air demonstration was held in the Market Place. Miss Pugh, a pilgrim from Torquay, Lawrence Housman, and the Rev. Arnold Cook addressed the meeting. A procession then marched, with banners, via Bath Street, Palmer Street, and Catherine Hill to the Temperance Hall, where another meeting was held.
