The East Anglia route of the Pilgrimage was planned to start in Sherringham on the coast and travel onwards through Norwich and Cambridge to London. Others towns and villages would be visited en route. Pilgrims arrived at the railway station in Thetford on Friday 18 June 1926. The welcoming committee included local Girl Guides. The pilgrims were taken to the town hall for an official reception. Miss Berry, the organiser of the East Anglia section of the Pilgrimage addressed the meeting and the model motion on law, not war was put and carried unanimously.
